This project will most likely take up most of my time for the next 6 months or so.
It is a final project at Reykjavik University for my BSc degree in Computer Science.
Introduction
The Behavior Markup Language (BML) is a new standard language for describing the coordination of body movement in animated characters. This language is at the right level of abstraction for a human or autonomous agents to orchestrate meaningful interaction between characters, with particular emphasis on communicative behavior. For example, the language includes commands for producing head nods or for gazing at targets.
The BML is being developed by a group of research labs in Europe and in the US, with CADIA at Reykjavik University serving an important coordinating role.
Our task
A very simplified explanation of our (I will have a partner on this project) task is to create an open source graphical representation of BML.
Estimated completion time is May 2008.
